MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin popular music scene is influenced by his international impact. In 2016, his hit Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Best Song in 2017. The singer released his first long-player ADN for Sony's Medellin-based subsidiary La Industria Inc. The album reached number 8 within the Top Latin Albums Chart. In the following year, he joined Ozuna to record their Top Five smash Vaina Loca. In the year 2020, he teamed up with Noriel for Mala Influencia and released the album Dopamina the next year. In 2021, he performed as a duo TINI on her cult online single Maldita Foto. in 2023 the single the cult hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was raised in a musical family the mother of his younger brother and father have been musicians. In interviews he's talked about his involvement in music as mandatory. As a child he learned to play the ukulele, saxophone as well as piano. His first choice of career was becoming a veterinarian, his brother Julian encouraged him to take singing lessons with the famous Cuban.
