Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a popular Indian actress, best famous for her role in Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hai Koun, and Beta Saajan. In the 80s the actress began her acting career, and was well-known for the character Tezaab in which she appeared alongside veteran actor Anil Kapooor. Her next appearance was in Dil which she starred alongside Aamir. Early on, as a girl growing up in Mumbai's middle class she learned to dance. She ventured into acting as young and fought through a couple of years since most of her initial films failed. Eventually she became one the biggest actresses of Indian films. After her wedding, she took a break in her career before re-entering the film industry. Recently, she was a key player in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit received fifteen Filmfare Awards nominations, of which eight she won. Dixit was also awarded the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian award in India. She also has a reputation as a social activist.
